Fund Research on AI Surveillance in Iowa

As a citizen-journalist, researcher, and data-diver, I am attempting to raise funds to pay for FOIA/Open Records requests from various city, county, and state governments in the state of Iowa.

My efforts are primary aimed towards civil liberties, especially regarding the public right to know about government mass surveillance efforts and how that may affect individual rights to privacy and safety.

My current efforts involve identifying AI-attached surveillance cameras which have been increasing in use since 2020, but especially since 2022, which perform widespread dragnets over any and all vehicles passing in front of them.

When the data has been sufficiently collected, stories will be published on independent, but reputable, journalist websites.

Most funds raised will go directly to paying for these records requests, with the occasional bit used to purchase caffeine for data-processing binges.
