Hello! Our names are Kai Kohatsu, and Julian Martinez. We are students of Huntington University of Arizona and we need your help in funding our Senior Capstone project, a short film titled "Reclined" in which we are the producer and director for, respectively.

It's a comedic short in the same vein as films such as Hot Rod and The King of Staten Island and of shows like The Bear to create a grounded yet chaotic, character-driven story that balances emotional depth with offbeat and absurd comedy.

Logline: When an oversized recliner arrives, a quietly accommodating woman enlists unlikely help to move it — but what starts as a simple favor spirals into a chaotic tug-of-war over space, identity, and the quiet pressure to keep everyone else comfortable.

We are looking to raise money for this film to make it the best it can be! While it may sound like a simple film, there's a lot that goes into a production like this. Art will play a major part in this film, as well as some minor special effects. These funds also help pay for food, actors and for the location we will be filming in.

With 2025 being Huntington University of Arizona's 9th year of operation and its film program growing every year, this film, and the expectations of it, follow that trend!
