If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Gurdeep Singh, he was a man of few words, very humble person, hardworking and was most admired for his simplicity, wisdom and his generous heart. He was very spiritual and caring and loved giving back to the society. As a leader in his community he wanted to start Punjabi classes thru’ San Jose State university so high school students could earn college credits for a foreign language.
After graduating from Punjab University Chandigarh with a Civil Engineering degree, Gurdeep immigrated to USA along with his family and worked hard on his way to Caltrans in 2007. Gurdeep lead his family and community with a kind smile on his face and pride in his heart.
Unfortunately, on August 12th, the great soul suddenly reunited with the source leaving behind his elderly mother, his loving wife Manjit, two young daughters Gurshan (age 6), Japleen (age 8) and son Ekjot (age 12). Gurdeep was a responsible son, caring husband, a ideal father and the sole provider for his family of five that he leaves behind. Gurdeep, you will be truly missed, but not forgotten. His daughters are yet to know about their father.
It is a humble request to help the family of a person that has always gone above and beyond to help many in need. No amount is too small, and any donation is greatly appreciated.
