Dear Brothers,
It is with great sadness that I inform you that our Lodge Secretary R∴W∴ Nicholas M. Panariello laid down his working tools to join the Great Architect of the Universe, on June 17th.
He suffered a heart attack and collapsed while shopping in a supermarket. CPR and other measures were administered without success. He passed at the hospital. Nick was 55 years old.
Brother Nick was Initiated in Arcana Lodge No. 246, New York, NY, on 14 November 1995, Passed on 30 March 1996, and Raised on 28 May 1996. He was Master 2006-2007.
During his Masonic journey he had also been a member of Chancellor Walworth Lodge No. 271, where he served as Master 2001-2004; Amity Lodge No. 323 where he served as Treasurer 2001-2002, Joseph Warren-Gothic No. 934, Bunting-Charity Lodge No. 727, and Justice Lodge No. 753 where he served as Secretary since 2018.
R∴W∴ Nicholas Panariello served the Fifth Manhattan District with distinction. He was an Assistant Grand Lecturer 2007-2008 and 2012-2013, Staff Officer 2008-2010, and District Deputy Grand Master 2010-2012. And he also served as NorthStar District Chairman 2016-2017.
His service to our Grand Lodge included as a Grand Sword Bearer (2008 to 2010).
R∴W∴ Brother Panariello was known as an accomplished ritualist. We are grateful for his participation and contributions, particularly as a member of our Lodge’s Degree Team.
We will greatly miss our Brother. The current pandemic prevents us from gathering to morn him, but a memorial service will be held after we emerge from these challenging times.
