Hi! My name is Naomi, and i’ve been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive type of Non Hodgkin Lymphoma in June 2026 called ALK negative ALCL. Around the world, only five countries (including Australia) have access to the advanced drugs to treat this type of cancer and going back to the Philippines will greatly decrease my fighting chance. While it is rare and aggressive, here in Australia it is treatable and curable.
Both my partner and I have moved to central coast for a sponsorship that has been recently refused, and under a student visa we are not eligible for Medicare benefits. I have not been able to work since my symptoms have progressed.
The greatest part of our savings have been spent to months of GP visits, emergencies, tests, procedure, and hospital accommodations. And unfortunately we have also been faced with higher cost of treatment that we cannot provide by ourselves alone.
The treatment plan is a 6 cycle with estimated total cost of AUD 111,000k for combined chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and has been advised to start as soon as possible.
Being diagnosed with cancer has been personally very difficult, but I want to fight. Telling personal battles in public feels vulnerable but i’m taking chance to ask the public to give me a fighting chance.
The funds will be used purely for the cancer treatment.
Thank you for taking time to read my story, and if you have decided to donate, know that you greatly helped save my life and battle cancer. I will keep you updated on my journey to remission. Someday I will help the way you have helped me, know that your good deed has inspired to do more in the future.
may God bless you,
Naomi
