Brian Melket passed away unexpectedly November 12, 2020 after a devastating heart attack that left him bed ridden and eventually cost him his life. His brother Tim has ever since been juggling everything the best he could to arrange for a proper burial and take care of so much that must be addressed in such circumstances.
Brian was well known as the heart and soul of the MIT Toastmasters Club, cheering for all new comers going through their Ice Breaker talks. He knew all the rules and everything that was happening in the area, attending over the years multiple Toastmaster sessions and events.
Toastmasters was clearly his passion and he will be dearly missed by his fellow speakers. It's clear to everyone who interacted with him that he wanted to help others.
We are hoping that this fund raiser will help cover the funeral and any unforeseen expenses, included uncovered medical bills. Brian had lost his job at Boston College as an IT administrator many years ago and was getting by the best he could.
