We’re thrilled to announce our next bold step: bringing SOULSKIN Dance to the Joshua Tree Retreat Center for two unforgettable performances on June 6 & 7, 2025.

SOULSKIN is more than a dance performance—it’s a fully immersive experience. The collaborators have woven together a rich tapestry of movement, original music, video art, costume, and lighting design, which invites audiences into a world that is visceral and deeply human.

After premiering to a sold-out crowd at the Mark Morris Theater in New York City, we’re re-staging this 45-minute ballet in the stunning desert landscape of Joshua Tree. But to make it happen—we need your support.

Why We Need You

In past seasons, our small team wore many hats: housing dancers, cooking meals, and sharing modest stipends. But this production is our most ambitious yet. We’ve expanded our cast to 10 dancers—more than double any previous show—and we’re committed to offering each artist fair compensation, housing, and transportation.

Unlike traditional theaters, the Joshua Tree Retreat Center is a raw, open space—a blank canvas. We’re building everything from the ground up:
