Help Fund BEST IN CAMP: A Queer Comedy Reality Docu-Series Made in Chicago

We’re building something bold, hilarious, and heartfelt — and we need your help to keep it going.

BEST IN CAMP is an original queer reality-comedy series born in Chicago, created by Kim Iheme (owner of 6 to 10 Productions). The show is a collective of Chicago comedians, and artists of color. The show brings together a dynamic cast of improvisers, stand-up comics, and performers who compete, collaborate, and connect through humor, heart, and a little chaos.

At its core, CAMP is a love letter to Chicago, the city that shaped our voices and our stories. This cast doesn’t just work together - we love each other. That connection and joy shine through in every scene, every moment of chaos, and every burst of laughter.

This is a true passion project: our pilot episode was produced entirely out of pocket. No one, not the cast, not the crew, has been paid for their work… yet. We’ve poured our time, talent, money and hearts into this project because we believe in it. Now, we’re hoping this proof of concept gains the momentum it needs to grow into something bigger, something that reflects the spirit of Chicago and pay the artists who bring it to life.

We’ve independently produced our first episode, and now we’re asking for your support to help us make more. Our bare-minimum fundraising goal is $5,000.

The funds will just enough to rent equipment and space, feed our cast, and pay our expert judges, crew members, cast, producers, post production, crafty, transportation etc.. With more support, we can cover more, and really would love to compensate everyone involved.

We believe in a creative industry where artists, especially those from historically marginalized communities, are valued and paid for their work. Your donation helps us move toward that vision.
