Fund post cancer reconstruction surgery to eat & talk again

Hi, My name is Jake, in the gym i'm around bodybuilders and powerlifters all day and my mum is still the strongest person is know, in 2021 she was diagnosed with cancer, this particular cancer was incredibly rare and has no known cause luckily the pain and discomfort caused mum to see a doctor who quickly made the diagnosis in June. Her first major surgery was August 2021. Followed by a number of other surgeries due to infection in jaw bone. She then underwent 6 rounds of chemo and 30 rounds of radiation over 6 weeks.

Followed by 6 weeks in a hyperbaric chamber every day to try and get jaw to heal.

In late September 2022 unfortunately mum was re-diagnosed with cancer in her neck requiring another major surgery in November 2022, followed by another 6 rounds of chemo and 30 rounds of radiation over 6 weeks.

All up over 10 surgeries in 12 months, 12 rounds of Chemo and 60 rounds of radiation across 2021 and 2022.

Having not eaten a solid meal in 3 years now more major surgery in May for a jaw reconstruction is required due to radiation damage not allowing the cells in the mouth and neck to heal, hopefully this surgery will allow mum to have her first meal with her family in 3 years in time for Christmas.

Whilst we’re not one to ask for help this surgery comes with a large price tag around the $30,000-$50,000 mark and any small amount will go along way to helping pay for it.
