Help Get Paris to France!
I’ve been accepted into the Château d’Orquevaux Artist Residency in France for February, 2026!
I am a Brooklyn-based painter and mixed-media artist who graduated from SUNY Purchase College with a BFA in Painting and Drawing. My work has been exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Times Square Advertising Coalition, Tweed Courthouse, and featured in publications such as Bushwick Daily and Hyperallergic.
This three week program will be an opportunity to connect with international artists while creating, learning and further developing my craft and I’m humbly asking for help in covering the fees.
The total cost of the residency is $7,871 with the first installment of $1,568 due April 3rd, 2025 (less than a week from now!). The second installment of $1,460 is due by May 5th, 2025.
As a painter and mixed-media artist, my work explores movement and rhythm, taking inspiration from my Haitian and Jamaican heritage. Another core part of my practice centers on helping others connect with their creative side through workshops, collaborative art pieces and mentorship of young artists. I’m excited to infuse everything I learn and experience in France into my own work and to my community with new art projects and workshops in the future.
Thank you, any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Love,
Paris
