Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening!
We are Stefan and Maëlle, film students at Concordia University, looking to make a movie before summer ends and classes begin!
We are raising funds for our next short film, an experimental psychological drama inspired by the Boltzmann Brain Hypothesis. This theory suggests that, given enough time, a brain could spontaneously appear in the universe, complete with memories and the illusion of a coherent life despite existing in a meaningless void. This film explores that terrifying idea through the story of a young man who suddenly questions his reality. After a strange encounter at a bar and fragments of familiar memories unraveling around him, he begins to lose his grip on time, identity, and the world itself. The film blurs the lines between memory, perception, and existence, using experimental visuals and atmospheric storytelling to immerse the viewer inside the fragile mind of someone realizing their reality may not be real at all.
Every dollar makes a difference in creating the atmosphere, visuals, and sound that immerse the audience inside the character’s fragile, decaying mind. With your help, we can bring this unsettling project to life. If you’re passionate about thought-provoking, boundary-pushing cinema, I invite you to support this project. Your donation will help to support our equipment, locations, and food for the cast and crew. Thank you for helping make independent film possible.
Best regards,
Stefan Cursaru and Maëlle Dessureault
