Fund our license plate to help support bees

Arizona is a unique state for beekeeping in that they deal with extreme wax-melting temperatures as well as the constant threat of Africanized bees. There is no state-wide support or education for helping beekeepers to maintain healthy colonies and thousands of these colonies perish every year.

Funds from the sale of this license plate would help provide this support. Specifically, the areas that the funds will help are:

1. Beekeeping education specific to Arizona

2. Provision of apiaries to help with research, education, and queen banking

3. Creation of educational materials for helping the public to learn how to help Arizona honeybees as well as how to best deal with Africanized honeybees

The Arizona Backyard Beekeepers Association has brought beekeepers from around the state together through online support and the annual FREE Arizona Honeybee Festival. There is so much more that can be done by getting these license plates on as many Arizona vehicles as possible.

Funds received above and beyond those needed to create the license plates will go toward the creation of the Arizona State Beekeepers Association, which will provide support for both commercial and hobby beekeepers in their efforts to raise strong, healthy honeybees in the Great State of Arizona.
