Fund Our IVF Hope: Tessa & Jonathan
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
My name is Tessa Trotter. My husband's name is Jonathan, and we have known each other for over 15 years, and have been married for almost 8. During all that time, we have been unable to start a family of our own. When I was 16, I was diagnosed with PCOS (Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome), and at age 18, one of those cysts grew into a very large tumor that had to be removed. Due to the size and complexity of the tumor, the surgeon also had to remove my right fallopian tube. Just a year later, my OBGYN informed me that the left tube was scarred and I had a less than 10% chance of getting pregnant without medical intervention. At just 19. We were devastated. We never gave up hope though, and continued to try. After 5 more years, life got meddlesome, and Jonathan and I separated. I pushed the thought of having children from my mind. Jump to 2023, and Jonathan and I found our way back to each other. I now have an amazing stepdaughter, but still yearn for a baby of our own. I am now 33, and Jonathan is 36. I feel like our time is running out. We have started our IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization) journey to finally be able to have a child together. After several tests, procedures, and lab work, we are ready to begin the retrieval and implantation process. That is where we need your help. The cost could be up to $15,000! No insurance covers this procedure. We will be contributing to this fund with our savings and monthly incomes as well. I am hoping that this will reach people and they will find it in their hearts to help us as well. If you know the pain and disappointment of having PCOS and infertility, you will understand how much this means to me. Any amount of donation will go a long way for us. Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and hopefully the next update we have will include a new little Trotter baby!
