I fostered sick, disabled and homeless cats, that now have a forever home with me, Medical bills I fund out of my own pocket, while working casual I am financially strained most pay checks but I do my best to make it work as my animals have always come first.

Just over a week ago I had to say goodbye to my dear Shawn who was in palliative care stage & it was so important to me that he had the best end of life care I could give him. It cost $740 for him to be euthanised & cremated as it was a Sunday after hours care. A cat that never left our care after he was neglected by his previous carer.. We had him almost 3 wonderful years.

Only 2 weeks prior my disabled cat Wiggles had another seizure after 3 months from his first ever one. We had to rush in the middle of the night to the vets & had blood tests done. This has been nothing but traumatic for me to watch your baby experience this.

This week I've discovered Roxanne is now very unwell, and was diagnosed with dry FIP by blood tests & an ultrasound. We only just finished treatment not even a month ago for our other cat Warrior that fought for 3 months with treatment. He cost us 3k alone in vet visits & medication. We are still paying off his vet bills. We know Roxannes treatment will be roughly the same. We are heartbroken to have to go through yet another terminal illness all over again

Roxanne now is on antibiotics for cat flu & FIP medication, she will be for the next 3 months while needing revisits for blood tests every few weeks. She will then need a tooth removed after she’s healthy enough.

My oldest cat Dylan is now needing bloods done asap as we’ve noticed similar symptoms.

I don’t expect anything as all these babies I chose to take in knowing the risks coming from an unhealthy environment that spread in my household, but I don’t want any of them to miss out on anything, I’m struggling with my mental health which I have support through wellways & not able to work full time right now.
