Hello! I have just been accepted to continue my studies at Columbia University's school in Paris this summer! (I know. I know. An absolute dream). I have received an incredible merit scholarship, but it, unfortunately, is not enough to make this opportunity possible.

Hello! I have just been accepted to continue my studies at Columbia University's school in Paris this summer! (I know. I know. An absolute dream). I have received an incredible merit scholarship, but it, unfortunately, is not enough to make this opportunity possible.
I have until the 1st of April to commit to the program and am hoping this picture of me reading along the Paris skyline will be enough to convince you to help me. Just kidding, I have more information. Columbia Summer in Paris allows me to take 6-7 credits that will count towards my degree- some of which are taught in French (when I come back fluent, I expect you all to be welcoming of my new tongue of choice...). I plan to take Contemporary French Cinema and Paris Noir/ Black Paris, which explores the Parisian Black history and its legacy of colonialism. I will also be able to apply to Cannes Film Festival towards the end of the program.
I have been taking French since middle school and am currently working on my first short film! I can't think of anything better suited to this moment in my life, my creative process, or my studies than participating in this program.
I have all my fingers and toes crossed that I can make this opportunity happen! Thank you so so so much for considering helping me do that. To everyone who donates $200 or more, I will gift a photographic print of an image I make while in Paris :)
So much love and â Bientôt,
Olivia
