Officer Johnson’s Road to Recovery

Hey everyone, I’m the girlfriend of Officer Ryan Johnson. I’ve had several people ask me if he had a donation page. After talking to him, we decided to make one to help with travel expenses and anything he may need during his recovery.

On June 21st, 2024, Officer Johnson responded to an active shooter call at Mad Butcher in Fordyce, AR. Within seconds of responding, he didn’t hesitate to get the shooter's attention away from the civilians so they could get away if possible. In that process, he was shot and wounded. He continued to stay in the fight until a fellow officer arrived to cover him so he could get to safety.

He was taken to a local hospital then airlifted to UAMS in Little Rock. In total, he has 22 holes from buckshot hitting him.

3 in the face (including his missing tooth he’s mad about)

1 in the left leg

3 in the right arm

2 in the top of the head

Thanks to his brothers in blue's quick response to his aid, bringing down the shooter and getting him to medical help, things did not end badly.

The ones who were not as lucky and are still recovering from critical injuries have been in our thoughts and prayers since the event.
