Yá’áá’ééh! (Hello!) My name is Niłtoolli Wilkins. I am of the Diné Nation in Arizona and Lumbee Nation of North Carolina. I am a tennis professional, a writer/poet and a model. I have been involved with tennis as a player and a coach for close to three decades. I published my first poetry collection in 2021 titled, “Indigenous, I Am.” Presently, working on my second book. I am grateful for these passions simply because they enable me to contribute and be of service to the communities that I represent and to the global community.
I fully believe it is my purpose on earth to help my people in any way that I can. It is always with purpose that I approach every opportunity given with a firm wish to represent native youth in the best light and with full intentions on giving back to my communities. Many positive role models in tennis, artistry, writing and such guided the little girl in the cover photo.
I am raising funds for travel to Oregon, for an opportunity to be a part of a modeling photo shoot for an indigenous artist. Modeling is one platform where I feel that I am able to give back. Indigenous artistry is a challenging field to gain notoriety and financial security. I like to assist with any chance to uplift a fellow indigenous artist and to gain more experience being in front of the camera. And a chance to expand exposure in the world of social media.
For the most part, modeling helps me live more out of my comfort zone and to gain growth in my own development as a role model. The shy girl in the picture has grown so much in traveling out of her realm of comfort. By seeing similar faces and features like hers in notable spaces greatly helped her expand. I wish that for the indigenous youth in all communities.
Ahéheeʼ (Thank you!) for your attention and support in this venture upcoming in March of 2025.
