Hi, my name is Nicholas Coffield, and I am incredibly excited and honored to have been offered a contract with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps for the upcoming Drum Corps International (DCI) season. Being part of this world-renowned ensemble is a dream come true, but I need your help to make it happen.

What is DCI?

Drum Corps International (DCI) is known as “Marching Music’s Major League.” It’s a global platform for young musicians, percussionists, and performers to showcase their skills in an unparalleled competitive arena. DCI is about more than just music—it’s a transformative experience that teaches discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Participants travel across the country, performing in front of thousands of fans at stadiums and arenas, culminating in the prestigious DCI World Championships.

Who Are the Bluecoats?

The Bluecoats, based in Canton, Ohio, are one of DCI’s top-tier ensembles, with a rich history dating back to 1972. Known for their innovation, captivating performances, and groundbreaking visual and musical designs, the Bluecoats have consistently been among the elite corps. In 2016, they made history by winning their first DCI World Championship with their revolutionary show, Down Side Up. Since then, they’ve continued to push boundaries, blending traditional marching with modern artistry.

Why I Need Your Help

Marching with the Bluecoats is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but it comes with significant financial commitments. Between tuition, travel, equipment, and other expenses, the total cost can exceed $7,000. As a student and passionate performer, I’m reaching out to friends, family, and supporters to help me achieve this dream.
