My name is John Gunning, Chairperson of Aughrim GAA & LGFA, and I am running the New York Marathon on Sunday 3rd November. This will (hopefully) be my 7th marathon to complete and the 3rd of the 6 World Marathons (hint that there might be more in the legs if I get through this one... ) .

I am raising funds for the fantastic Aughrim LGFA section of our club to promote the growth of the game to more juvenile age groups and to finally have an adult ladies team for all these new juvenile players to aspire to. The plan is to extend the club to the Under 14, Under 16, Under 18 (minor) & Adult age groups.

The money will be used for sets of Jerseys & equipment specifically for the the new teams. (headline jersey sponsorship opportunities open as well to anyone who can help - just reach out.... )

All donations are gratefully received no matter what the value and I thank you all in advance. Most importantly, don't forget to give a shout or a wave if you see me out running the roads around Aughrim....

Thanks ,

John
