Help Us Fund Nancy's Medical Bills for Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
Hi Waldorf Community, Chicago Friends and Family,
Nancy Szymanski has been a teacher and steadfast pillar of Chicago's Waldorf School (CWS) community since 2001. She has lived and breathed being a teacher and has poured passion and heart into her lessons by uplifting students' lives throughout the years. Currently, that devotion has needed to shift towards her ongoing battle with pancreatic cancer. My sisters Carissa Szymanski, Jessica Kilbert, and I are reaching out to her community to help fundraise for our mom's latest medical bills from fighting pancreatic cancer for over three years.
In 2021, my mom was diagnosed with stage 2b pancreatic cancer, the third leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Miraculously, she fought to regain her health (cancer-free) and even became strong enough to return to teach first grade again in September 2023. This spring we learned that the cancer returned and my mom is facing a long, painful treatment again.
In this second round, she is courageously fighting through her cancer treatments at a more intensive level with radiation and chemo treatments for back-to-back days throughout the next few months. Our hope is that her medical bills won't be what my mom is worried about during her fight for life. Please donate what you can so she can continue with treatment. Your donation would help support her medical bills and other necessary expenses. We appreciate your support more than anything.
With love,
Elizabeth, Carissa, & Jessie
