Support My Journey to Stability and Health

Summary:
After 2 years of homelessless, I am in an apartment. I can feel that physical recovery and financial stabilization are so close. With some extra support I believe that I will be able to move into a period of my life no longer impacted by the previous scarcity and struggles. I am raising $6500 to cover rent and my Behavior Health Technician certification course for a job that is compatible with my disability. Anything helps! Thank you for the love and support.

Details of the ask:
After 2 straight years of 24/7 survival mode in an already disabled body, recovery is a slow process. Between rent, cost of daily living, alternative medical treatment and therapy, paying off debts, saving up for a car, and basic household items after arriving with nothing, I have a lot of financial need, and limited physical capacity.

If I push myself to work an incompatible job, I risk my health and disability worsening. I have found a compatible and accomodative job opportunity as a Behavioral Health Technician. In order to qualify, I need to ensure I can secure my Behavioral Health Technician certification within 40 days of hire.

If I am hired I would be making enough to cover some important expenses but not everything. Realistically I can only work part time, even in the accomodative work environment. Additionally, with this job I will overqualify for state health insurance in California by a HAIR. This will further impact my ability to meet the aforementioned goals.

A very generous person co-signed for the apartment I’m in, but it is a temporary arrangement. It is crucial that I pay off my debt and raise my credit so that I can remain housed in the future. To do this I need help getting ahead.

I am raising 5,500 to cover a few months of rent and 1,000 for my BHT certification course. With this support I can spend a few months pouring whatever money I make into paying off my debts, buying essentials, and getting the alternative health care I need. This will set me up to save for a car, and have the spaciousness to work within my disability means as my health recovers.

This has been a long and hard journey. Thank you to everyone who has helped up until this point, even if with just your steady presence ❤️ and thank you to anyone considering supporting now. I know it is said often, but truly anything helps.
