Help Support Blanca’s Fight with Breast Cancer

Hi, my name is Blanca Sifuentes, I’m named after my mom, but most people may know me as “Lucy”. I am considered the baby of Blanca’s four daughters. Thank you for taking the time to read this! I am reaching out to our friends and family to support our mother’s fight against breast cancer.

In August 2022, Blanca was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma with metastasis to the lymph nodes. We’re hoping that if she takes well to the chemotherapy that her mastectomy can be scheduled before the end of the year. If not, surgery will be scheduled in early 2023, which unfortunately is a new benefit year. And after a few rounds of chemo, she is finding it harder to maintain her 9-5 and take the rest needed to recover properly between treatments. Soon she will have to take a step back and I’m hoping we can all take a step up and lend her a helping hand.

Our Mom is the type of person who gives no matter how little she has. Our Mom is a warrior; she is the epitome of the phrase, “small, but mighty”. Our Mom is the type of mom who, during winter, would come into our room to put warm fuzzy socks that came fresh out of the dryer onto our feet. Always taking care of others, and we want to return the favor.
