Fund My Healing Journey from my ACL tear

Hello everyone,

I'm making this Gofundme with a very heavy heart and a bit of a desperate plea for help.

Yesterday, was playing flag football— something I love— when I suffered a serious injury. During the very first play of the game, I jumped up and when I came down, I felt a sharp pop in the back of my knee, instantly I wasn’t able to put any weight on my left leg, foot went numb and couldn’t move my toes/foot. After being rushed to the emergency room, it seems l've torn my ACL.

Tomorrow, I'll be seeing my orthopedic specialist, who will order an MRI to confirm the full extent of the injury. From there, we will discuss next steps and a plan for recovery. But, as it stands, I'll likely be out of work for about two weeks, while I wait for an answer from my orthopedic, if not longer, while I heal In the meantime, I'm trying to raise $500 to cover the emergency room medical bills. The hospital estimated that it would cost around $500 or more, but considering they sent me home with crutches and a knee stabilizer, I anticipate the costs might be higher.

Being out of work during this time is going to be extremely challenging for me-both physically and financially. The money I will be missing is crucial for covering my bills, daily living expenses, and any additional medical costs that come my way.

If you can find it in your heart to help me out during this difficult time, it would mean the world to me. Every little bit counts and will go directly towards supporting me while I recover and get back on my feet. My job means a lot to me, and not being able to show up leaves me feeling unproductive and disconnected. I don’t want to fall behind especially because I have another surgery in July. This situation has caused me significant stress, as I am concerned about how I will manage financially during this time away from work, being out of work as a server for a week is losing out on what could be a great amount of money.
