My dream to open my own early education center seems to be within my reach. My biggest obstacle to begin is financial, which is why I’m here now.
I have always loved working with children, especially toddlers. Something about the first 5 years of a child’s life is unlike the rest, everything is new, and it’s always an honor to witness that time.
Any amount you are able to give would mean the world to me. Every cent will be used to help open up and stock my own early childhood education center, which will be nature inspired, play focused, and child-directed.
A little about me:
- I have worked in childcare for the past 15 years. I have implemented my own curriculum as a lead teacher with children aged 6 months to 5 years in two preschools, ran my own emergency childcare business “The Sick Day Sitter”, and had extensive and varied nanny positions over the years.
- I have been a stay at home parent since my own child was born in 2019.
- I believe children learn best through play and that in the first few years especially, preschools and daycares should be readying children for the social and emotional aspects of life and public education over busywork and memorization.
- I have my Bachelors in Social Work, a Childhood Development Associate, and an Animal and Human Health Certificate. I am fully CPR and first aid trained.
Funds will be used for:
- Renting a suitable building with safe outdoor area.
- Purchasing the necessary indoor and outdoor equipment.
- Insurance.
- Business Registration
- Advertisement
