ABOUT THE SHORTFILM:
Monica is a young woman who don´t take life that seriously. She is a gamer, who are also a streamer and on this particular day she get a new inappropriate comment. She tries to forget about it, but due to her environment, she starts to second guess everything. What if she could turn something negative into something good?
WORD FROM THE WRITER/DIRECTOR:
Hi there! My name is Ayelén. I am a actor, writer, director and mental health advocate who have written scripts for a few years. But none of my scripts have seen the light of dawn, yet. I am taking script courses via Cinematrix in Stockholm and have learned the principles of script writing. I feel ready to start sharing my art.
During the COVID-outbreak my personal life took a turn and I became very depressed. I found new ways to self-harm, and in 2022 I finally got therapy that saved my life. During this time I found myself in a position where I was bragging about my self-harm and no one would ask me " how are you, really?"
And this is what gave me the idea to " The Nature Of The Beast".
Other than mental health, I have a big passion for equality and womens/childrens rights, so this script was written due to personal experiences and with a question I have asked myself:
Do people understand the power of words we have in our private conversations? Can a single conversation or joke with another human being take us on another course at life?
Investing in "Nature Of The Beast " means contributing to a powerful film that shines light on how we speak about controversial subjects and hopefully, it will lead to people asking them selfies questions about what are their own opinion and what are influenced from society. The movie also aims to raise awareness about grooming and sexual consent.
Supporting this project means backing authentic storytelling that can resonate deeply with audiences.
BUDGET & HIRING GOALS
My goal is to raise 100k. Around 50% of the budget will go to cast and crew. It’s really important to me that people get paid, due to the low payment we already have as cultural-workers here in Sweden.
These are ballpark numbers, I have a much more detailed budget in the making, but it gives you a good and transparent idea of how I intend to invest cash donations:
47,500 SEK - Cast & Crew (includes, hair, make up , camera, sound, and so on)
15,000 SEK - Equipment and Rentals
12,000 SEK - Post Production
7,000 SEK - Locations and Production Design
6,000 SEK - Food
6,000 SEK - Apply for film festivals
TEAM
This will be updated as the team is coming together.

She trained in theater at Culture-school in Luleå, later at Kulturamas Art Educations in Acting.
