Fund MMC MUN Team: Students Need Your Help

Help to fund Marymount Manhattan's Model United Nations Team!

MMC's MUN Team started out with a simple goal, to expand the horizons of the small college's students through attending the National Model United Conference in NYC! Our goal was to help students form connections and relationships outside of the college while also strengthening their understanding of international politics, diplomatic relations, and teamwork in order to reach goals in the best interest of the world as a whole.

Through this simulation of the United Nations, students were able to step into the shoes of UN delegates in a variety of different committees and write resolutions in order to help try and solve some of the globe's largest problems (Climate refugee displacement, environmental ruin, armed weapons trading, etc).

While the team has always been small, we have been mighty and have not only attended the NMUN conference for the past two years but excelled - earning the rank of Honorable Mention in both years (even though the team in the first year consisted of only 5 students).

Now we need your help! Unfortunately, our team was not granted full funding by our college and as such we now reach out to you, the community at large for assistance! Attending the conference is not an inexpensive feat and we wish for all of the students on our team to be able to gain the wealth of knowledge MUN provides cost-free as some of our members cannot afford the high fees in order to attend. Following our first year at NMUN's theme of radical empathy, we wish to ask that in this time when education and international politics are so important that you would consider donating any amount of money to our team! Every dollar will go towards allowing students who would not otherwise be able to attend without financial assistance to participate in this life-changing opportunity!
