Fund Missy Fischer's Stem Cell Treatment for MS
Donation protected
Hi my name is Kim McKendry. I am raising money for a dear friend of mine, Missy Fischer. She is the mother of three beautiful children (Mae 8, Mia 12 & Ian 15) and wife to Justin Fischer. She was diagnosed 20 years ago with Multiple Sclerosis. Thankfully for many years Missy was able to live an enriched life as a loving, hands-on mother and very involved teacher. Missy is a light to so many, so geniune and caring - she has never met a stranger.
In recent years, Missy had a tragic event where she lost her sister and niece in a fatal accident. This event was the start of her MS flaring up, and has unfortunately led to Missy not being able to go to work as a teacher. MS has also not allowed Missy to be the mother she wishes to be, due to low energy levels and due to her limited walking ability currently. Missy relies on a walker /with a seat and cane, along with a wheelchair for longer distances. It is truly heart-breaking, because Missy is so passionate about being a mother and a teacher.
Most recently, Missy was rejected by her doctor at the Cleveland Clinic this past Fall because he said "she was too weak to do chemo."
On a positive note, Missy was recently accepted into a Stem Cell Treatment center in Florida. This stem cell treatment could enable her to walk without assistance, and for her to regain her energy so that she can be the Mother she aspires to be for her children.
Please consider donating to help this cause that is near and dear to so many of our hearts.. to help Missy go back to teaching and to more importantly be a "Mom Again."
