The first weekend of June, our Cincinnati-based Men's Masters Ultimate team, Minimum Effort, earned our first-ever bid to the USA Ultimate National Championships in Denver, Colorado, on July 17–19.
This team is made up of 28 players, many are fathers, coaches, teachers, business owners, and working professionals who still love competing at a high level and representing the Cincinnati Ultimate community. Qualifying for Nationals is something we've been chasing for years, and we're excited for the opportunity to compete against the best teams in the country. This is our first time EARNING a spot at the national tournament.
As a self-funded club team, every player is responsible for their own travel, lodging, tournament fees, and uniforms. To help make this experience accessible to every teammate who helped us earn this bid, we've launched a fundraising effort.
Here's a breakdown of some of the costs:
Tournament Fees: $120/person
Airbnb: $85/night/person (4 nights)
Flights/rental cars/gas/food....beer
Any little bit helps offset the costs. There are two ways you can support the team:
Make a contribution through our GoFundMe.
OR
Purchase team gear through our fundraiser store: https://teams.breakmark.com/group/collaborations/showcase/minimumeffort
A portion of every purchase goes directly toward helping the team get to Nationals.
Whether you donate, purchase gear, share this post, or simply cheer us on from home, we appreciate your support. Cincinnati Ultimate has helped shape this team, and we're proud to represent our community on the national stage.
Thank you for helping make this opportunity possible.
