Fund Menna's Astrophysics Master's Program
Donation protected
Here is a message from the person I started the GoFundMe for:
I am Menna from Egypt. Ever since I was 13, I wanted to become an astrophysicist. I was fascinated with cosmology and never seemed to stop reading about it. That’s why I embarked on an educational journey across the globe. At the age of 16, I was admitted to an international boarding high school in Japan with a full ride, called UWC ISAK Japan, where I was able to study higher-level physics and mathematics, and eventually earned an IB diploma as well as my Japanese MEXT Certificate.
After high school, I decided to pursue my undergraduate education in the United States at Furman University, where I double majored in physics and mathematics. At Furman, I delved into astrophysics research and was able to do research at the Green Bank Observatory, the University of California, Davis, as well as my home institution. I presented my research at different national conferences and published a first-author paper.
Currently, I am a senior hoping to continue pursuing astrophysics. I was accepted into a Master of Science in Astrophysics program at the University of Geneva, where I hope to enroll this coming fall. I love the program; however, I won’t be able to attend unless I can prove that I can fund my two-year stay in Geneva. This GoFundMe will help me continue my studies to become an astrophysicist. Thank you for your support!
