My name is Max and I am currently trying to flee my abusive home with my husband, sister and two cats. I have been a victim of my mother's abuse and neglect my entire life, but I have not had a moment to save up to escape. I was thrust into the role of main provider (sans rent) for my family shortly after my father left in 2023 and since then we have nearly been evicted three separate times because of my mother's lies and manipulation. She would tell us that rent was paid and then we would get an eviction notice and she would feign tears until I scraped together the rent and backpay that we needed. The final straw was our gas being turned off last night.

We cannot keep living like this. The 6k I am trying to raise will cover the uhaul, tow for my car and gas for the trip.
