Hello!
This is my husband Matt. For the past three months we have been battling in and out hospital stays. Matt has a rare condition called Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) is a rare and potentially fatal form of elevated blood pressure in the lungs (known as pulmonary hypertension). It occurs when blood vessels in the lung have been blocked by a clot for a long time.
Matt has been getting blood clots that blood thinners are not touching. We have a team of doctors that want him to have a rare surgery that is only done by a handful of surgeons in the country. Which means traveling to another state.
This will mean travel expenses, time off of work, added stress to an already one income family due to Matt’s limitations on activities. Our worry now is not being able to afford to get us where he needs to be to save his life. We are looking at a six month recovery that includes a lengthy stay at a rehab facility after his surgery. His rehab will also be in another state away from his family.
We know that everyone has issues and are struggling. I just want to be able to keep my husband alive. Our family has been through so much and he is my rock. I can’t do life without him. Anything will help. We appreciate all prayers and guidance for thorough hands during surgery.
Thank you ❤️
