Friendship is a beautiful gift. Our dear sweet friend Sharla was dealt a life changing blow when her beautiful daughter Maddie was diagnosed with cancer on Oct 12. Since then it has been a whirl wind of doctors, tests, diagnosis’s and news that no family should have to hear. 
Sharla is a Special Education instructor at Sprott Shaw College and has given her heart to her job and students. Now her heart and time are needed elsewhere, with her daughter as she prepares for the battle of her life. 
Maddie has been a pillar of strength and faith throughout this process and amazes us daily with her positive outlook and incredible strength. Her smile lights up the room which is why we honor her with the symbol of a sun...#sunshineformaddie.
We want to uphold this family in prayer and be able to take the financial stress away and make it possible for Sharla to take this time off of work to be with her family as Maddie undergoes treatment. Reality sets in and bills need to be paid and life goes on around this family as they cope.
