Fund Lori's Life-Changing Surgery

Hello to friends, family and the Facebook community in general. This is me. Per the doctor, who said he would repair my hernia if I got down to 160 lbs, quit smoking, started eating healthy, had at least one knee replacement done and continued with pain management. I have done all of this and when I returned to see the doctor, his response was, "I don't feel comfortable doing the surgery." He referred me to The Cleveland Clinic. I sought out other doctors, in this area. Several other doctors also referred me to The Cleveland Clinic.

Now to fast forward, I have an appointment, in Cleveland, OH, but I live in Grand Island, NE. Doing many flight and hotel searches, and becoming very frustrated, I have found the average cost to be about $1,000. Two months ago I started my fundraiser and have only raised $400 (my boyfriend gave me $70, before he headed out on the road as a long haul/over the road truck driver. So here it is, I need to get this set in stone, that I will take the plane trip and the hotel, before the price goes up any higher.

Now to explain what I am needing the surgery for. I have a hernia that has separated all of the natural human body fat and muscular covering of the abdominal area. Basically all of my organs sit outside of the cavity of the abdomen, with only the skin covering them. A slight accident, if my mid section were to be damaged, it could rupture many different organs.

This is why I am imploring of each of you to consider assisting me with a small contribution or to share my fundraiser to your own timeline, group pages or directly to a friend, who might be able to assist me.
