My name is Lizzy Shaw, and I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the Deeply Rooted Dance Theater’s Summer Dance Intensive along with their Work Study program in Chicago—a prestigious 7-week training program that brings together passionate, driven dancers from around the country to train with world-class artists in contemporary, modern, ballet, and African-based movement.

This opportunity means the world to me. Deeply Rooted’s mission of using dance as a way to tell powerful stories and connect deeply with community aligns perfectly with my own artistic journey. I’m eager to grow not only in technique and performance, but also in discipline, creativity, and purpose. This is more than just a training program—it's a transformational experience that will shape me as both a dancer and a person.
