UPDATE: I have spoken to an endo specialist and their out of pocket cost is 22k so I’ve updated the goal amount

Hi I’m Liz, and I have no idea how to even start this. But I’ll try. Basically I have endometriosis, a pretty advanced stage that has nerve involvement which means I need a very advanced specialist to operate on me again (so far I’ve had 5 abdominal surgeries for this).

the last surgery I had I traveled out of state to a specialist and because my insurance is Medicaid and they don’t cover out of state expenses, I had to pay out of pocket for my surgery and travel expenses which included a weeks stay in a hotel while I recovered enough to fly home. I found a very promising specialist in New Jersey and so I’m asking for some help in this journey to having relief from my daily pain by having another surgery that hopefully will be my last.

I have no idea how much the whole cost would be for this specialist, so I set it at 10,000 because my last surgery out of state I paid about 15,000 and we’re still trying to recover from that.

as I get updates I will post them, but any help is so appreciated. I love you guys and my heart goes out to my other endo sisters in the same boat as I’m in. We can get through this
