Hello!

My name is Liv Mills and I'm soon to be a woman business owner in The Box Factory that was born and raised in Bend. My family has been here since the '30s and many of them worked in The Box Factory over all its years and changes. So this opportunity means a great deal to me.

For the past 7 years, I have been heavily involved in the dance and fitness studio called "Seksé Fit" located in the breezeway of The Box Factory. This company has been monumental for access to dancing in the Bend community. It has created a beautiful, diverse and safe place for adults to exercise and express themselves. At this time, the owners are needing to shift their focus and are ready to hand the studio off to me. A dream come true for someone who has been dancing since she was 7.

In addition, with the purchase, I will be re-branding the studio to shift its focus from being fitness-based to artistic-based, while still keeping its original soul intact. I plan to bring in every style of professional dance classes for adults and a variety of kids' classes into our community. Not to worry there will still be all the fitness classes offered, with more options! The studio's layout consists of 3 separate studios that have potential for private parties, art shows and other enticing events. I hope to add as much opportunity for all kinds of artists and use this space to its full potential.

Before and while I was an instructor at Seksé, I taught kids' dance in Central Oregon for 5+ years. I have also done freelance choreography for multiple plays and other performance groups in the region, including The Greenhouse Cabaret's production of Little Shop of Horrors. Integrating this part of my background into the new business will be exciting.

In 2023, I created a performance group named 'Model Citizens.' For the past few years, we have put on high-energy professional dance productions at venues including Silver Moon, Volcanic Theater Pub, High Desert Music Hall, and Open Space. I aim to bring these productions back on a bigger scale alongside the overtaking of the studio.

I'v come up some initial funding, but to make this a reality and fulfill the entirety of this vision I'm gonna need more financial backing. Which is why you are reading this...

We will be painting a mural in the studio including all the names of the generous donors that helped make this possible. The more you give, the bigger your name is on the mural. Suggested $100 minimum.
