I'm Heather Connor and I've been a volunteer in the Buffalo Burma community for 15 years. Recently, at least three Buffalo residents from Burma were unjustly arrested by ICE and are still detained. Their identities need to remain anonymous to protect their legal cases and families. I can tell you that they all had different forms of temporary legal status. I don't need to tell you what a tragedy this is for the entire community and how costly legal representation is.
