Send Lee High Theater to the Fringe Festival

UPDATE FOR 2020: Well, this year took a turn. As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Lee High Theater won't be traveling to the Fringe Festival until 2022. As a result, this fundraiser is being suspended until we have more information to share. A huge thank you to all who donated to date, 100% of those funds have been transferred to the Theater Department and will be put towards the 2022 trip. The Lee High School Creative and Performing Arts Magnet has been invited to perform at the world’s largest performing arts festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Edinburgh, Scotland. The American High School Theatre Festival selected our program, out of hundreds who applied, to take our talented students to perform on an international stage!
In August of 2020 our students will embark on the performance opportunity of a lifetime. Accomplishing an international production will not only give our students valuable skills as performers, technicians, and marketers, but will help develop a deeper understanding of the arts and the vital role the arts play in education and in our world.
Please consider sponsoring our Title I program by donating to this once in a lifetime educational opportunity. With this sponsorship you will help to finance our production at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, but more importantly – this donation is an investment into the future leaders of our community. Our efforts provide an exceptional arts education to our students and help to ensure the next generation of citizens, professionals, and performers. It all starts here!
The fundraising campaign is being coordinated by the Lee High Theater Booster Club (www.leehightheaterbooster.com), a parent- and community-led effort to support the magnet program. 100% of all proceeds are sent directly to the theater department.
Note that while the Booster Club is working through the process of getting a Government EIN (and hopefully 501c3 status!), Interim President Anne Martin will be receiving the funds into the Lee High Players bank account held at Redstone. From there, a check will be delivered directly to the Theater Department of Lee High School on the first of every month. We're off to a great start, with huge thanks to our first donors! Help us keep up the momentum!
