Lavender is a romantic drama short film about a closeted gay man who gets cold feet at his wedding when his true love shows up and complicates things.

Director's statement:

“I wrote this script because I am sick of letting my own life wash over me. All my life, I have let others make decisions for me or made my decisions based on those of others, and it has gotten to the point where it doesn’t feel like I’m in control of my own life anymore. Writing this script of self-liberation has helped me figure out my own goals. I also wanted to write a story about loving someone you aren’t “supposed” to love. Queerness has always been an important part of my identity and the spaces I thrive in, and I wanted to write this as a love letter to the queer community.”

This short will be filmed on November 15th & 16th. We hope to raise these funds in order to pay our actors, provide them with food, and realize our vision to its fullest extent.
