I’m Destini, Larry’s oldest daughter. I’m setting up this gofundme for my dad because he had a horrific accident, bad enough that his doctors have told him he is lucky to be alive. On July 3rd, my dad went camping at the lake in South Carolina and was told by a park ranger that he did not have a reservation on a free public camping site. As my dad was driving home, he crashed his scooter and was discovered by EMS. My dad was taken to the hospital, where they discovered he had his head split open, he had 200 stitches placed in his head. He broke his femur right where the hip meets and required surgery to place a nail in the bone. His nose, thumbs, and collarbone are broken.

We are raising money to help with medical bills, regular bills since he will be out of work due to having to recover for 6-8 weeks from his injuries and surgery, and for funds to return my dad to his home state of Utah.

My dad is a wonderful person who has fallen on hard times, and struggles deeply with depression. My dad has lived in South Carolina for over 4 years now, and his depression has become worse since living there. We want to return him to Utah so he can be surrounded by loved ones and to support him through his hard times. We don’t want him to be alone anymore, and he would like to come home. Moving can be expensive, especially across state lines.
