Hi! My name is Landon Shangin. This is my first year of middle school. Middle school was pretty scary at first, but as my mom said, I did get the hang of it. When my older brother and sister were in middle school, they got to go on some amazing trips!

Now I have the opportunity to go with my 6th grade peers to Washington, DC, Williamsburg, and New York City through Close Up! This opportunity doesn’t come cheap or anytime in the future.

I am going to use my Alaska PFD as a down payment and would appreciate any sponsors who are willing to support my trip!

This is an amazing opportunity for me to learn about our country and experience new states with my friends, when I may not have the opportunity to in the future.
