Fund Kyle's Dedication to Harbee's Care
Donation protected
On Friday, April 26, our dad, Harbee Tharaldson was mowing the lawn with his tractor and had an accident that sent him into a number of medical emergencies including: heart failure, sepsis and aortic stenosis. He has overcome a number of obstacles, much to the surprise of his care teams and his odds. He has been in and out of the ICU, transported to a larger hospital and sent home for hospice care. Even then, his conditioned improved. Home hospice quickly became home care, where he is today with periodic visits from medical professionals and constant care from his family. We are grateful that he's still with us and hopeful that with continued support and PT, he will be able to live a little longer and a little more comfortably.
As soon as this happened, our brother, Kyle, dropped everything to head to Wyoming and support dad. During Harbee's hospital time, Kyle served as an advocate for dad's care. Once dad was transported to our parent's home, Kyle began serving as his 24x7 support, which requires constant management, execution and acute attention. In addition, he's been taking care of the home and animals that my dad previously maintained.
When Kyle decided to go to Wyoming to support our parents, he anticipated that he would be able to carve some time out to work and pay his bills. He had just started a new job, which is commission based, so had not yet found a steady stream of income. Now, nearly two months into his care for my parents, it's clear what he anticipated, just wasn't possible.
Our dad is scheduled to go to a care facility for two weeks to work on his strength, which will give Kyle some time to sort out the future. In the meantime, he is unable to pay his bills and make ends meet.
This fundraiser is to support my brother monetarily and get him back on track, as he has supported our parents for the last two months.
We are so grateful for your donations.
Thank you!
