Fund Kelly Bate's Vision: The Woman Who Could Read My Mind

I am Kelly Bate, a student director trying to raise funds for my newest upcoming Noir short, The Woman Who Could Read My Mind. Since this is a 1940's period piece, a large portion of the budget will go towards accurate location, costuming, and production design. My next biggest concern is keeping my cast and crew fed, for a hangry actor could derail the whole set. I am a current fellow in an amazing non-profit organization, Ghetto Film School. This will be my 5th directorial production in the last two years, so my team and I are striving for perfection. We hope to use some of the money to enter this film into the festival circuit. Lastly, we are planning to shoot digitally, but if we exceed our fundraising goals, shooting on film again would be a dream come true.

Logline: In 1940's Los Angeles, Detective Arthur Booth investigates a string of antisemitic murders, uncovering ancient evils along the way.
