Fund Kaedon's Popsicle Cart Business Adventure
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tia. I am raising funds to support my son's dream job of owning a popsicle cart. He is an 18-year-old autistic young man. He loves being around people, and everyone in town knows him from seeing him walking around. Last summer, we were at a picnic that had a popsicle cart, and he immediately took over pushing it around, giving out the popsicles.
Fast forward a year, he still expressed interest. So, I did a lot of research with him to find a good fit. Amazingly, there is a manufacturer just across the river from us. We visited them, and he took one for a test drive around their warehouse. I think he logged 5 miles on the display unit. He is so stoked about owning one and pushing it around town slinging popsicles. I really want to make his dream come true!!
As many may not realize, it is difficult for autistics to obtain and hold a job. I find that this particular opportunity fits my son very well. He loves socializing with people in our community and is always out walking around town. I believe he will soar with his popsicle cart.
The amount I am requesting is to purchase his cart, pay for needed licensing and permits, and additional supplies such as a dedicated freezer for his inventory, gel packs to keep the product frozen in the cart, and a POS system.
Would you please help me make this come true for him? Any amount is appreciated. Thank you for your time.
