Fund Julie's Life-Changing Prosthetic

Hi! My name is Sarah and I'm fundraising for the sweetest and strongest person I know, my amazing wife Julie Lorenzen. Julie is 52 years young and will lose her right leg soon with an Above the Knee amputation.

For 6 years, Julie has been suffering from nerve pain caused by a diving injury that broke her right lower leg in three places with the nerve going haywire shortly after. This nerve pain has gotten unbearable and hurts to even wear pants, let alone pursue any of her passions like Scuba Diving, Hiking, Camping, Cycling, Triathlons, and even as simple as taking her dogs or pigs for a walk! This evil nerve has robbed our Julie of her active and happy life and has imprisoned her in a daily struggle with indescribable pain.

We've exhausted all options for pain relief, trying everything multiple Dr's and Specialists have thrown at her, including having electrodes implanted into her spine 3 times with no relief!

Our goal is to raise 75k for a specialized Prosthetic that will allow Julie to be fully active again and regain her life and mental health. This will cover the shortfall of insurance only covering the bare minimum, instead of a prosthetic that will truly allow Julie to return to her life before the accident.

This life-saving prosthetic will feature a computerized knee and foot that will help her have a realistic gait and be able to cycle and run and even hike on uneven ground too.
