I’m Charlie and I am fundraising to help my dear friend and colleague Julieanne get the treatment she needs.

Julieanne’s world was turned upside down on 19th June when she was diagnosed with stage 4 Esophageal Cancer. In early July she was dealt the devastating news that it had spread, making treatment difficult. Recently married to her Husband Dean and devoted mother to her autistic son Sonny - this news has put all their lives on hold.

Julieanne, Dean and Sonny have become a good friends of mine over the last year. Both Julieanne and Dean volunteer their time at the charity I run, and Sonny attends our events. I have been privileged enough to work with them closely and have seen how caring and loving they are - not just to Sonny but to our whole community. Sonny is a brilliant, fun loving young man with an incredible sense of humour who has the most loving bond with his Mother. Even through this devastating news, Julieanne puts Sonny first in every aspect of her life. Sonny depends on Julieanne for daily stability, comfort, and support - and couldn’t imagine a life without her.

Julieanne has always put her child first - navigating therapies, school routines, sensory needs, and the emotional complexities that come with raising a child with autism. She’s done all of this with strength, grace, and unwavering love. But now, she needs our help. Julieanne is facing two battles at once - fighting for her life and striving to ensure her child continues to receive the care, love, and security he needs. Sonny is about to embark on the next stage of his life, starting college this September. Julieanne deserves to be there through it, and Sonny needs her there through it.

The treatment Julieanne needs is not being offered on the NHS. We’re asking for your help to lighten this unimaginable load. Your donation will go directly toward this Medical treatment and medications to give Julieanne the best chance of seeing Sonny graduate, and to continue to be the rock that he needs.
