Fund Joseph's Medical Bills and Recovery

Hi. My name is Joseph McKnight ,I'm a single father of a son and daughter. A woman and young child broke down on the side of the highway. I stopped to help , she told me her car was loosing oil and sounding like the engine was gonna blow. She let me know she only lived a few miles away. And needed oil put in to make it home. I didn't live far from there so I took her and her granchild to safety (my 15 yr old daughter ) was watching her grandchild. I grabbed a 5 quart jug of oil out of my garage , then me and the woman went bk to her car on the highway. She had her Hazzard lights on and was on a straight part of roadway, u could see the car a good distance before u got to it. I pulled over in front of her car on the side of the highway. We got out of my car and proceeded to walk bk to her car to put oil in the engine. I could see cars moving over into the far lane to create space for a disabled vehicle. She opened her hood. And said look at all the oil everywhere , it was definitely blowing all the oil out of the engine, here it was a turbo charged engine and the turbo went out causing severe oil loss. After she opened the hood I was leaning over the engine to take a quick look before I started adding oil . And pow , a big loud noise . Then I'm in all kind of pain and was now under the front of the car from waist down . Luckily the woman I was assisting was a couple feet away and was not hit by the impact . Thankfully,, Then , I was wondering what happened. I thought this car must of been struck by another car. I got to get out from under here. While I'm still alive , my face hurt so bad my legs and my left side . I some how made it out from under the car. Then I crawled in front of my car and layed there , needing help. The woman was trying to call 911 but was so shook up she could not get her phone to work. The person who hit the car did stop and they called 911. The EMS came. They did what they could, then I had to be sent by medical helicopter to a trauma center . I sustained many injuries , now I'm off work for at least 8 mo. I need surgeries to fix broken body parts caused from the impact , basically I was under the hood of a car that was struck from behind at highway speed. Very lucky to have lived. I'm asking for any help I can get with medical bills and loss of income , keeping a roof over my familys head and the lights turned on, Until I can get back to work. And continue to provide for my family like I always have. Any kindness and compassion is so greatly appreciated. I just want to get healed and bk to work. Thank you so very much .
