TL;DR: I am raising funds to buy a new computer with sufficient resources to handle audio engineering without audio issues. I need this computer within the next two weeks for a speech about music in which I am using a MIDI controller and Ableton Live 12 Lite to play songs as examples of my speech's points. Additionally, as a songwriter, I am unable to release new music until I have a different computer for audio production work.

Hello there! My name is Jonathan Beauchamp.
I am in my fifth year competing in Stoa's Speech and Debate, and I am performing a special category of speech this year. I have written and begun performing an Expository speech, which is a category that allows me to use props. My speech is about how music works and how it should be viewed properly from a Biblical worldview. Part of my speech involves explaining the balance of rhythm, harmony, and melody. I am using a MIDI controller to trigger songs as examples of harmony and melody, as well as using the keyboard to explain a little bit of music theory. However, my current computer does not have sufficient resources to process the program properly. Instead, it produces a loud crackling playback which sounds similar to very bad radio static. In order to perform the speech properly and communicate my message clearly, I need to buy a new computer with sufficient resources to seamlessly run Ableton Live 12 Lite, which is my DAW (the program I am using to trigger the songs). Since I am also a recording artist and I am considering a future in music production, this computer will become my dedicated audio engineering laptop. I will continue to use it after the speech and debate season to record and produce my own Christian music. I am raising $2200 to pay for the computer and any additional expenses that may arise for the speech.
