What happens when a caregiver needs help herself? Joimee has provided loving care to my mom and the other residents of The Rose of Poway for more than two years. She has been in the healthcare field her entire career. Joimee was diagnosed with cancer last year, and has been waging a courageous battle ever since. She even returned to work part-time in order to care for her elderly clients
More recently, her cancer has returned and spread. She is being treated at UCSD, where she will undergo a series of chemotherapy treatments every three weeks for the next 18 weeks.
Joimee's cancer requires her to be on supplemental oxygen 24 hours a day, seven days a week. She needs a portable oxygen concentrator she can take with her. The cost is $3,200.
I'm doing what I can to help a caregiver who needs help. Will you do the same?
