Fund Jiggles' and Catsby's Medical Care

Two of my cats (Jiggles and Catsby) are very sick with a skin fungus and secondary infection that they've been fighting on and off since February. I have maxed out my credit card and as a single mom on an average income in this economy, I have no savings. I cannot find a shelter that will take them and I do not want to put them outside. I am asking for donations to cover their continuing veterinary care, medication, and pet sitters while I am in the field for work this summer. I have already spent close to $4,000 and I am asking for $8,000. Anything I do not use will go to a local shelter after the cats are healed.

My 8 year old daughter loves these cats with her whole entire heart (especially Jiggles, the orange one) and I don't want to give them to the shelter (if there was space) and break her heart.
Where did this fungus come from? Well, I adopted a kitten from a private, overcrowded rescue and he brought the spores into my house on his long fur. Since then, my 8 year old daughter had it on her head which required oral antifungal medicine, which is damaging to her liver. My dog had it as well. They've both recovered.

Catsby and Jiggles came down with the fungus for the third time at the end of May. For the first time, I put them in quarantine (dog crates) so I could eliminate contamination in the house. They've now been in cages for six weeks and are not doing well. I switched to a multi level cat cage so they could be together but it's not a good life for a cat. They are also in the spare room to contain the spore contamination.

Over the past ten days, the infection spread from the front of their faces, over the top of their heads and their ears, and down their necks. I was away on a family trip and had a very experienced sitter watching them so I know they were well cared for. When I got back yesterday, I spent most of the day crying and cleaning. I could not believe that they had not improved.

I'm very concerned that my daughter will get infected again and have to take the medicine that damages the liver. She's in Hawaii for the summer with her dad and I'm hoping to resolve this during that time. This will require multiple rounds of medication and multiple follow up vet appointments.

For verification, I am currently seeing 4 Paws Veterinary Care in Defreetsville, NY. They have also been to the Capital Region ER vet and I have used Dutch dot com in an attempt to save money on vet bills.

Any help is immensely appreciated. I just want these cats to get well.
